Cyberkind 2026

Small acts of kindness. Real people. Healthier online spaces.

Cyberkind began with a simple belief: how we speak online matters.

❤️ What is Cyberkind?

Cyberkind was launched in August 2009 by the UK charity Act Against Bullying to promote positive online behaviour and challenge cyberbullying.

From the outset, the campaign encouraged kindness, civility and responsibility online — reminding people that behind every screen is a real person.

That message matters more now than ever.

Cyberkind 2026 focuses on small, deliberate choices: the comment that calms rather than inflames, the reply that de-escalates, and the decision to pause before joining a pile-on.

🤖 A Modern Twist: Kindness in the Age of AI

As part of Cyberkind 2026, Act Against Bullying is exploring how tone, empathy and responsibility show up in online spaces increasingly shaped by new technologies.

Public conversations online show something simple but important: even automated responses can model calm, respectful engagement — or amplify harm — depending on how they are designed and used.

Technology does not create kindness on its own. It reflects the standards we set and the behaviour we reward.

A recent public exchange helped prompt this renewed focus, offering a practical example of how thoughtful replies can change the temperature of a conversation.

Kindness still starts with people. Technology only mirrors the choices we make.
