Kids Being Mean

💬 You Deserve to Feel Good About Yourself

Sometimes bullying can make you forget how great you really are. But here’s the truth: you matter. A lot. No one has the right to make you feel small, left out, or scared. You have talents, strengths, and things that make you you — and that’s something to be proud of. Even if you’re feeling low right now, this won’t last forever. With the right help, things can get better. Talking to someone is the first step, and we’re proud of you for even reading this page. That’s already brave.

💬 Feeling Frightened or Scared?

If someone keeps upsetting you on purpose, that’s not okay.
You deserve to feel safe, respected, and happy — every single day.

You might be scared to talk. Maybe:

  • You think things will get worse if you speak up
  • You don’t want to upset your parents
  • You’re worried about losing a friend who’s turned mean
  • The bully is an adult you trusted

😔 Whatever you’re feeling, you’re not alone.
We understand. And we’re here to help.

👀 What Does Bullying Look Like?

Bullying comes in different forms. Some people:

  • 😡 Call you nasty names
  • ✊ Push or hit you
  • 👜 Take or hide your things
  • 🤥 Spread lies or laugh at you
  • 😔 Leave you out on purpose
  • 😱 Force you to do things you don’t want to
  • 💬 Say horrible stuff online

📍 It can happen:

  • At school
  • On the bus
  • After sports
  • Online
  • Even in the street

And it’s not always other kids. Adults can be bullies too.
They might shout, scare you, or embarrass you in front of others.

🙋‍♀️ What Can You Do?

  • 🗣️ Tell someone you trust – a parent, carer, teacher, or family friend
  • Know it’s not your fault – bullying is never okay
  • 💪 Be proud of your bravery – speaking up is the first step to stopping it

What helps:

  • 🧑‍🏫 Tell a teacher or adult straight away
  • 👫 Stay near friends or safe areas
  • 💛 Be kind to others who look left out — it really makes a difference

📱 If Bullying Happens Online (Cyberbullying)

Online bullying can feel harder to escape.
It might happen on:

  • WhatsApp
  • Gaming chats
  • Social media

What to do:

  • 🚫 Don’t reply
  • 📸 Take a screenshot
  • 🛑 Block the bully
  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Tell your parents, carers, or a teacher
  • 📢 Ask an adult to report the abuse to the platform
