May 11, 2009, Chiswick
Chiswick
Waitrose has raised £533 for Act Against Bullying, which helps
children who are bullied at school.
Under
their new charity donation scheme Waitrose customers were given the
opportunity to support the anti-bullying charity via their newly opened
branch in i Chiswick High Road.
‘The
credit crunch has made it so much harder for charities like ours to
continue their work.' says Louise Burfitt-Dons, 'So we are doubly delighted
with this contribution from the staff and customers of Waitrose at this
particular time.'
A
cheque for the amount was presented to the AAB founder at an in store
gathering by personnel section manager Jo Richards on behalf of the
store.
